Debra Posluns, a physiotherapy resident, new to our team at The Yellow Room, will be presenting on the topic of Senior’s Health.

Debra will be discussing why there is a need to address the health concerns of our aging population, how physiotherapy can be used to address some of these concerns and why this is relevant to individuals of ALL ages.

She will be demonstrating some exercises that can be used to maintain or improve the safety, quality of life and level of independence for senior individuals.

The instructors
Debra Posluns
Physiotherapy Resident, BSc, MSc(PT)

Debra graduated with a bachelors of science with honours from the kinesiology program at York university in 2016. Debra worked for a year as a registered kinesiologist but wanted more tools and ideas of how to help people return to their everyday function. With this in mind, Debra completed a Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2020.

As a Physiotherapy resident Debra is particularly interested in senior’s health and excited to work with individuals to maintain their quality of life and achieve their goals. Debra enjoys educating patients on their conditions and working together with her patients to make improvements.
